i used to use an old earphone as a really cool harmonica mic. it would 
distort
the harmonica for that down home bluesy sound. it worked because only one 
of
the earphones was broken. i used the unbroken one for the mic. speakers 
can be
microphones and mics can be speakers. what will receive will also send and
vice verce (sp?).  PJ
