...in the meantime, have you tried the old EH Deluxe octave multiplexer? 
There's a 5 knob one with a blend for the octave and a switch (but no 
blend I 
think) for the fuzz. Pretty Dang Mean on gtr, don't know about bass...

Any local gigs?
