Hi,
I do it with Kyma but it's easily done if you, (as I believe others do) 
send
your looping device's feedback path through a mixer of some sort. You could
either use the eq controls or patch in some sort of filter pedal/whatever. 
I
guarantee many hours of creative noodling.
