i used to use and still have the <akai professional  riff-o-matic u40  variable tempo/pitch phrase recorder>. it lets you record sections,hold those samples and then set loop from start to finish and then playback @normal-2/3-1/2 tempo w/out changing pitch... they are pretty cheap and its probably what you are lookin for.

I hope someone can help me.....I would like to loop "snippets" of guitar from my favorite CD's so that I can more easily hear the parts and learn them...how can i do this?..thanks
