ZING,
Ya could try a crytal element harmonic mic.
I have one I use on a T bar with a vocal mic also.
Works well for feeding the loop.  Effects don't always work well on these 
high mid mics. Distortion gets grungy fast. Chorus/pitch effects work for 
a 
full sound.  I think an envelope filter with a narrow tuning would work, 
but 
much more and feedback gets wild.  Just do it.:->

I thought this would also be cool live for doing vocal parts that are
EQ'd differently.

You know, to get that all mid range Kravitz sound. Maybe even run pedals
through it (distortion, envelope filter, etc)
