Interestingly enough, I've had this happend even without the midi
controller,
just using the 3 button footswitch. It started responding strangely to
commands,
started giving me "CFC Slow" errors (when recording to internal RAM!) and
then
finally crashed and restarted.

I was using my midi controller when I recreated it last night. I wonder if
it's
possible to also do this with front panel presses?

Sure looks that way. I guess the best we can do is share the pitfalls and
hopefully come up with some creative workarounds.
