Back in the late 70's/early 80's I had a Foxx
wah/volume that was factory miswired so the wah pot
worked correctly, but the volume was backwards like
you describe. I found it very counter-intuitive, and
eventually gave it to one of my guitar students. I
used to use it in a bass setup where my signal was
split to two amps; one clean and the other (which the
volume pedal controlled) through a *nasty* pedalboard.
