Give yourself a break! Some of the most interesting innovations start 
out as mistakes. Anyway - the central issue here is to help Andy (and 
others just getting familiar with complex systems) to gain a 
conceptual "handle" on signal routing in a musical context. It can be 
useful to have a few alternatives for consideration, even if some 
aren't immediately put to use.
