Re: crappy music of the masses

Folks

K.Hartung is right. It is all just art. Perhaps not interesting, edifying
or even worth wasting breath on. But it is all art. I have the feeling
that this has always been the case. There has been high art, low art, pop
art, genius and just plain sh*t in every era of human existence. There
were great cave painters and bad cave painters, etc.. I think the key is
finding what moves you and allowing yourself to fully experience it. I
admit those moments come along for me less often these days, but they do
happen. Perhaps I am just not as open to new ideas as I was 20 years ago.
Who knows? As for anger, there is a fine line between expressing
it/turning it into exploitive product/holding up a mirror to the world. If
anyone can figure out those particular boundaries, I'd be intrigued to
hear their ideas.
