rc50 syncing

i've been using the rc50 for some time now, but one thing i cannot
seem to figureo out....
what i want to do is have three different phrases of three different
lengths that can be stopped and started again simultaneously.  i have
tempo sync turned on on all three phrases.  i seem to be able to do
it easily with the first two, but when i add that last phrase, it is
never in sync when i re-start.

any ideas?
