AW: PCMCIA Firewire adapter

check the forum of your interface's manufacturer for compatibility of the
chipset of your firewire adapter with the interface in question. This
actually is not an issue with PCMCIA/cardbus cards, but with firewire and
some interfaces in general.

I'm using a non-firewire laptop with dawicontrol firewire adapter (TI
chipset) and Presonus Firebox successfully. I had problems with a TC
Konnekt24D, but this seems to be an issue of the TC hardware/driver, not
the
firewire interface. A friend of mine (laptop w/ integrated Hitachi firewire
chipset) had problems with his Presonus Inspire, but was able to solve them
by using a TI-based cardbus/PCMCIA firewire adapter.
