I use a shure A95UF for just this purpose - matching the low impedance mic 
signal from my flute mic into high impedance for my pedals.

A GREAT little tool I have just bought for a small, mobile setup:

A MIC Impedance Matching converter with XLR IN and unbalanced OUT.
This really saves the preamp/mixer for an ultra-moble setup.
So, I can really directly plug the MIC into my Zoom G2 or Boss RC-2.
