Re[2]: What would loopers do without power?

Buzap,
I completely agree that piano is the most versatile of acoustic instruments, and would be the ideal in the case of a non-powered world.  Of course, the darn things are a little harder to tote to a gig than a guitar . . .
Someone mentioned a parking structure earlier (I assume for the natural delay?)  We could customize a place like that to give different slapbacks and such depending on where you're standing, get four or five folks and create loops au natural.  I mean, if we don't even have electricity Im guessing cars will be out as well in this hypothetical scenario, so no one will need the space . . . :)

Actually, I was surprised that nobody came up with playing piano.
Before I turned to looping, it was my instrument of choice for solo improvisation.
I still prefer it for classical music. But for the stuff I'm usually doing, I'm better of with my RC-50.
Still, I'd dare to say that no other single acoustic instrument offers that much possibility for solo improvisation.
