Re: Sooperlooper or Mobius? Going back to software.

Are there any two input RME products? I don't see why I just couldn't run sooperlooper in the aux of my rane line-mixer. The only other thing going into the mixer would be some softsynths.

Hi Kevin,
so you do notice a big difference with this 2 soundcards? if thats  the case this baby is going to ebay and i am getting the RME!!
cheers
Luis

The difference in latency between the Presonus Firepod (8 channel) and the RME800 was huge.  The latency with the Firepod was in the order of 350ms.  There were some other problems too (my video chipset and the Firepod's chipset didn't peacefully co-exist on the PCI bus -- this could have caused bandwidth/latency issues, too.)

I have not used an RME400 -- I would expect its latency to be similar to the RME800.  I noticed that someone is selling an RME800 on Ebay for under $1000 which is a pretty good deal.

I haven't tried any other interfaces however between the Firepod and the RME800, I get much better performance out of the RME800.
