I would recommend using note messages for all commands going to
sooperlooper instead of PC when using a FCB1010.  That gives you the
extra flexibility to do long presses (held for longer than 1 second)
because of the note-on/off sent on press and release.  For instance, a
long press of commands like record/overdub/etc, will automatically
make it a SUS operation and the release will finish the command.
Also, a long press of undo will reset the loop.

I can't comment on the strange issues you are having, though....
