Rick,

in Europe there is still a big price war amoung the cheap airlines  
that keeps costs ridiculously low. You can find very cheap flights  
all over the net, for example:

also try the Air Berlin, Easy Jet, RyanAir, GermanWings websites  
directly. Be aware though for hidden booking fees (although illegal),  
baggage surcharges etc.etc. RyanAir suposedly wants to charge one  
pound soon for using the onboard toilet! The situation will change  
sooner or later, right now it's still cheap.
