Re: Spacey Plugins (vst) for Bass and Guitar

Reverb can be "spacey".

SiR is a good convolution reverb, available for free also in the VST
plug-in format:

With convolution technology the effect sounds as what you load it
with. I bought a couple of wonderful collections of convolution reverb
recordings from http://www.spiritcanyonaudio.com/. Quite "far out"
stuff, fun to play through. Great bang-for-the-buck IMHO.

However, big ambience recordings puts a huge strain to the CPU when
loded into convolution reverbs for live playing. Being an old
Eventide fan I'm more into the SoundToys Native bundle for live
playing. These plug-ins also have a lot of useful parameters that you
can play from pedals. With a strong laptop they come close to the
classic boxes Eventide Eclips, the old legendary Harmonzier and the
Orbit. Lots of "textural guitarists" play those effect sounds.
