Or for recording professionals - i.e. guys that need total stability
during the production process in order to get finished on a deadline.
In the pro audio world it is a long time standard to deliver projects
as audio files, rather than a work document file from some DAW
applicatins plus plug-ins. The reason for this standard is that it
guarantees full compatibility between production platforms and
applications and also gives the best protection against lost backwards
compatibility due to software upgrades or discontinued software
products. In this regard Record also seems a good deal for musicians
that are not pro recordists but do a lot of collaborations with such
people. I guess a lot of new Record buyers will be artists that would
otherwise have bought ProTools LE.

I'm not very interested in Record either, because I already have Logic
and appreciate that freedom of signal routing.
