My wife has the smaller iMac and she loves it.  She initially switched
to an iBook from an IBM Thinkpad and was so into it she got the iMac
for her photos and multimedia projects. My boss just bought the one
you're considering after having been a PC guy for years and he has
nothing but great things to say about it. Check out the new iLive 09.
They've put in some amazing features.

Say what you like about Apples, but they actually come with software
you'll use.  Ever use or buy any of the bloatware that comes on a PC?
