RE: pci interface

James,

I’ve been running an M-Audio Audiophile 2496 PCI for years and it’s been great.  They are about $99 these days. I’ve since upgraded to a Firepod, but not because I was unhappy with the 2496.  The Firepod just has more I/O that I was looking for.  Actually, I still run the 2496 as my default audio card for watching videos and gaming.  Plus it gives me more MIDI ports.

Subject: pci interface

hi.  i'm planning on building my own pc for live audio processing and am curious if anybody has any experience with pci interfaces.  i need 2-4 i/o and midi would be a nice addition and it looks like m-audio is my #1 pick.  any and all advice or experience would be appreciated.

thx.
