Re: airlines regulations - no instruments on board?

its a pain, expensive and scary (given than baggage enters an alternate universe when it gets checked), but i've found the more i can check on an international flight, the easier my journey. after more than my share of searches and manhandling of both me and my cello/equipment by security, i invested in some hardcore flight cases, and just pay the exorbitant fees. and i'm a US/Canadian citizen...so i can only imagine how much worse it could be for a musician from turkey. 

i keep thinking air travel is going to get better, but it just gets worse and worse!
