Re: OT: Name that virtual drum kit(?)

Adam,

I listened to the video and my opinion is that no "virtual drum kit",
instantly available, matches those sounds. The one that comes close
IMHO is a Roland TR-505. But you would have to put a little rez filter
fix on the toms to get close using a 505 set. But why looking for "a
virtual drum kit", why not just mock up the needed samples in the
EXS24? Preferably using using a separate instance for the toms to dial
in that wet rezo-filter-envelope sound either by the filter settings
in the EXS24 or by slapping an Autofilter after it.

I bet you could create all those drum sounds with the ES1 synth. Do so
and bounce samples do disc and then drop the samples into the EXS24 to
make your instrument. Or put the samples in the UltraBeat if you fancy
step sequencer fiddling like on the old Roland drum boxes (you know
you can "play" the patterns by MIDI notes, a cool way of jamming with
the Ultrabeat).
