RE: Anyone else excited about Kinect?

I'm really excited about the kinect. Not just from a gaming point of view
- I love the idea of being "in" a game like call of duty or something
(although I'm defo not a hardcore gamer), but also from a music point of
view.

The body midi controller, although a bit crude at the moment is an
indication of what can be done and what is to come. I've heard some strong
rumours about Microsoft launching an Xbox 360 app store similar to
Apple's, which, if it's done in the same way, would mean that developers
will be able to write programs for kinect whether it be music, games, etc
, etc. Let's just hope Microsoft don't restrict the veritable football
field of developing possibilities to a 1 metre square inpenetrable prison
like Apple do!

Seems like it's got a ton of potential!

I'm thinking more visually at the moment but this seems to open so many
doors to who knows what. And only $150, hard to go wrong.

Anyone?
