Question about electronic drums and Mac looping

Hi guys!

Abandoned the choice to live-looping several percussion instruments, I've come to the decision to use some prerecorded stuff via a Mac computer and also do some live-looping with and e-drum pad.

Questions:

which the most intuitive and good software for Mac to do this

I was thinking of a Roland SPD 30, but maybe using the Mac there's some other way (less expensive) such us buying only a controller and take the sound from the computer

by the way I plan to use in conjuction with this also the Rc50, but since, as you can understand, I've no clue on how to do all that (being new to Mac and computer music usage) there's no more need...

Thank to all that want me to suggest something to help me get the point: I want to able to start prerecorded tracks in a multitrack fashion and to loop live on the with e-drums (with many different sounds as in the SPD 30) and also as always play and record guitar besides that

any advice also on a good audio interface based on the software suggested, having decided for the Macbook pro and planning to record myself the track, some percussion and vocals via mic and some guitar

Thanks a lot,

Andrea
