Re: Reyn vs Blaudzun

Hi Luis (and others),

Thanks for the nice words! Actually I organize this event every 3rd sunday
of the month. And I do them with artists I have worked with or want to
work with or just admire. There are no rehearsals and it's made really on
the spot. Only thing I sometimes do is that I make a webcam video of some
of the songs I want to loop, so that they don't get scared or freaked out
on the moment itself. So the artist just plays his song and I glue myself
to him and try to accompany him as tasteful as I can. I really like that
and because it's on the spot the adrenaline rush is great!

And sadly I'm doing it independently, no subsidies what so ever. The
reception is very good thought and more and more people are showing up.
People really appreciate it, also the whole concept of it. Also the
artists does it for the fun and not the money, but when things take off
I'd love to be able to pay more musicians and have, next to the singer, a
string quartet on stage and I play just the celesta all afternoon for
example.

So it's getting there and I'm still full of ideas! Actually I think I'll
do a Reyn vs Reyn in April since I also have to prepare something for the
LiveLooping Festival in Cologne on the 2nd of April.

Oh, and on a side note, I finished a site where I put some of the music I
did for movies. No looping involved, but maybe you guys like to see it
anyhow: www.filmscore.reyn.net

Cheers,

Reyn
