Re: reissue the pds8000 (or a better delay based looper)-FOLLOWUP from DIGITECH

Jeez...it isn't really about the 'chip' at all, is it?

It's about the functionality and interface.

Am I ignorant here? Someone can't make a 'hold delay' feature in a current production looper because of a 'chip' no longer being made?

How does one explain that feature on the Pigtronix delay, then?

Don't reissue the damn thing, digitech, reinvent it.  A pds based machine with tap tempo or 'first loop' length setting and a longer delay time would be a terribly fun box.

Scott,

Thanks for your comments. Some of the chips in the PDS 8000 are no longer manufactured, which makes a re-issue difficult and costly. Have you tried our JamMan Delay?
