Re: my two sets at penarth - and comment on repetiton

They're all on bandcamp. I don't bother pressing up CDs any more. They're expensive to do and I never sell any.

I heard Simeon's set live and can attest it was extremely enjoyable. DO you have a CD Simeon?

for these pieces i'm using a combination of the axe fx, some plugins for loop treatment and mobius, augustus looper and crossfade loop synth for looping

Very very nice, Simeon.

And for those talking about the value of repetition, which no musician in any genre can deny the importance of, Simeon's music makes great use of tension and release within the repetition, making it intriguing without clobbering us.  Repetition doesn't have to be boring at all.  The mind wanders but the tension and release draws it back to the music.

All art is about the dance of tension and release, holding and releasing the imagination.

This takes skill and experience to pull off.  Simeon does it extremely well, like Bill Walker.

Are you doing most of that with the Axe FX?  I've heard and commented on your music on the Axe FX site I believe.  You make this die hard vintage tube amp freak reconsider the Axe FX.

Very nice.

I couldn't find a web site for you, which I find fairly stunning for a man with such obvious technical chops.

for those of you not in the facebook group...

i completely forgot to record my audio, so it's camera audio, i'm afraid...but you get the idea...

also had a go at doing some video editing...just crossfading between the two cameras...almost fried my tired old brain trying to figure out how to do it... :O)
