Re: Performing at school Friday, random wave of low confidence has struck again

Kaylon,

To feel like you didn't have enough practice time is perfectly normal despite the amount of practice time.

To feel anxious before a performance is normal.

However, feelings are just feelings -- they don't really mean anything.

Most people, as they start to perform, get into the performance and put the jitters behind them. Just visualize yourself performing with a sense of inner peace.

Enjoy!

Kaylon, keep going. Its all easy advice (something u should take
minimally in life :) ) to give hard to receive as your anxiety and
insecurities are high. Still it was your inner muse and true self
that scheduled the date so follow it through. It will be okay. Do
some closed eyes steadying of the hands visualizations to clame the
physical (info shared to me years ago when had a period of perform
anx) which can share more on if interest. Do the date, don't look
back and focus on creating the loops and the musIc within. This list
is here for you as they say.

I just spent 45 minutes "practicing" 3 songs for a lunch time performance
at my high school. Im not feeling so confident since i havent practiced in
WEEKS.
I feel pretty dumb for even scheduling a performance knowing that i wouldnt
have very much time to practice. It feels almost like i forgot how to do
what i usually would.
