Re: 12step or softstep

Hi Todd M,

You can also use the MIDI effect, 'pitch,' in Live to transpose your MIDI note down to zero. Alternatively, you can use the drum rack and map your MIDI notes accordingly. Bidule should work as Fabio suggests. Depending on your OS you could run the data over MIDIYoke (Windows) or IAC (Mac) if it does not run as a plugin.

I forwarded your MIDI note zero concern to the guys at KMI. I'll let you know what comes back.

Is there some kind of transpose object you can put in there?

Bidule has moduls that allow to make that.
I guess you  can use Bidule as a plugin to make this work-around inside Mainstage.
Am I right, Per ?

I couldn't figure out how to make MainStage only look at one midi in port and ignore the other midi data coming in

That is such an annoyance and the reason I don't use Mainstage more often. If anyone knows the way to fix this, I'd love to know.  The manual doesn't offer any help from I could see.
