Re: Kim Flint / Strava article

Im sorry but I still like books...

On the subject of Kim Flint, I really wish Violet would trawl thru his subscriptions and cancel a few. On Wednesday I was in a particularly dull meeting, checking email on the phone (like you do) and suddenly Kim tried to make me a friend on Foursquare,  or rather, Foursquare kindly drew my attention to the fact that I might like to know that my facebook friend Kim Flint was also on Foursquare, and that he had made no recommendations or checked in since.. and gave a 3 year old date... When someone spoke to me at the meeting, A) that had to ask twice, and B) I had to clear my throat before speaking...

Don't you guys find it refreshing when something ISNT online?
I was totally dismayed when my only subscription magazine (Wire) went all ipaddy and online.. grrr..
Of course I can (and do) still get the paper version, but ethically speaking (the trees etc) I should give it up..

BUT I HATE READING ON A SCREEN!

I just feel 'wrong' to sit in front of my three large computer monitors and read a novel or magazine. I feel like I should be doing something there. For this reason I finally bought an e-reader. You can get a brand new older model for $10! I wanted a back light so I paid $50, but that is still pretty cheap. I especially like that I can stick it in my pocket.
