then the meters would go 1-2-3-4 and you hit the chord ;-)
That's the sort of thing I had in mind as well for Bidule. You could also use the amplitude to trigger a click track sound. Used in combination with the delays, you could have an auditory counting cue and look away from your monitor as you play.
