RE: Electrix Repeater

Ya, clearly you are not a hardware guy. Filtering, safety, packaging, regulation, signal conditioning, etc. And Condor already stated the parts used in the orig design are no longer available. You cannot make a PSU and get it UL approved and on the market by clicking your heels. There is a hell of a lot of engineering between a 12V battery and a rocket ship.

I’m not a hardware guy but how hard would it be to build one of these?  You’ve got line voltage on one end and you have to convert that to one or more specific dc voltages on the other end.  The transformers they happened to use are not available, but surely something equivalent can be built.   Transformers still exist, I don’t know what regulation he is referring to but it probably has something to do with efficiency.  It may not be particularly cheap or pretty but it isn’t rocket science.  I’m kind of surprised Condor hasn’t made a little industry out of it, but the demand may not be high enough.

Love that thing though. Just thinking about the things you can do w it make
me want to set it up and hook up the Behringer foot pedal and get to some
loop/un-quantized insert/rev/fwd/next loop/rinse/repeat madness. Kim even
repaired it for me once may he loop in peace.
