Re: history of looping question: Live Looping Day

Todd,

I believe that our late LD founder, Kim Flint’s, significan other (Violet
Hefner) was taking care of it for quite a while.

But as activity, interest, and supportive monetary donations have fallen
off over time (if they ever were a factor at all), I think she has just
the bare minimum going now.

It is very understandable too, since perhaps personally maintaining it
properly on a regular basis would be a constant reminder of her loss.

It is unfortunate that a considerate and capable 3rd party, known to her
and trusted, can’t be found to hand-over and maintain what many see as
Kim’s online legacy — the list, and the site and all of its resources.

But the world-wide internet community of loopers itself (whether on the
list or on FB) is Kim’s real legacy.

As long as it keeps together, grows and moves forward, it till outlast
even us.

For those of us who remembered him and called him “friend” it may not seem
like quite enough to leave it at that.

But that is the nature of things.

Ted
