When you see ??? in popups or the main Mobius UI it means that Mobius can't find it's message file. When you install Mobius it puts an entry in the Windows registry pointing to the installation directory, if you then move this directory the registry will be pointing to the wrong place. If that could have happened then just reinstall.
There is one other reason for losing the message file that we haven't seen in awhile. Search the hard disk for a file named mobius.xml there should be only one of them in c:\Program Files\Mobius (or whatever your installation directory was). If you find another one delete it.
Sorry about the forum account, what would you like your user name to be?

In standalone Mobius bring up the MIDI Devices dialog and look at the "plugin devices" panels on the right, do you have anything selected? If so deselect them, you rarely need to open MIDI devices when running as a plugin and this can cause conflicts if the host is also opening those devices. -- i'll try this tonight. btw, i tried to join the mobius forum/group and never got a response from the admin. thanks. - jim
