Assuming you're 100% sure it's not that you're overloading the mixer input.
Either
1) that's just how it sounds, try turning the level down. (Roland stuff 
isn't high quality)
2) there's a faulty component in the RC-50. (e.g. leaky capacitor on the 
power rail for the output stage)
