When I was last involved in this kind of music the big radio stations were Hearts Of Space and the Echoes show. I've been outta the loop (!) for a long while so I don't know what has come up or disappeared since then. Seems like nowadays NPR/Bob Boilen is the big fish. Here in Canada it's CBC - and there's a few adventurous programmers n CBC. Both NPR and CBC are much more approachable than Hot Whatever Radio. Doesn't hurt to go for big fish. And it can be surprising. Really, what's there to lose? A few bucks postage? A phone call or two? Presentation helps. A LOT! On the less grandiose scale, there's web radio, college radio... all kinds. Here's what I've used in the past: Best bet, get it in a movie. That's the quickest path nowadays. None of this is impossible, although it might seem so... and some folks will tell you that. But every day new artists get their music out there. It just takes a lot of courage. r On Jan 14, 2010, at 11:19 AM, david kirkdorffer wrote:
