We used Macbook Pros then, but my Macbook 2.2 GHz and 800 front side
bus (Santa Rosa chip) with 4 GB RAM doing fine after many years. But I
must say, the coolest live I use peak at 80 percent CPU and that's
pretty thin ice. Trying to save up money for a MBP if this one should
go belly up. I'm still foolish to have only one live laptop, you
should keep a back up.
