Any delay would do. Up through out the sax solo it was set to plain
eight note taps but later on the vocalist changed to a longer time,
maybe a fourth note or even a dotted one.
Even cooler than this is to use a tape delay or digital tape delay
simulating device. Then tap length changes result in a wobbling pitch
for a while (until the virtual tape loop engine has finally settled at
the new speed - "inertia").
