I picked up an Onyx-1620i about six months ago and it's been great. Just 
plug and go. I'm also big on pre-send routing, and between the aux sends 
and the mute/alt 3-4 The recording sends are pre-fader, though I remember 
reading something in the manual a while back that having a technician 
change them to post-fader isn't too hard of a job.
