Most of the time, I describe myself as a musician making ambient music. If they are really interested, I tell them I use loopers and delays as a creative/compositional tool and that a lot of the magic happens thanks to these devices. Btw:I still like the term Per Boysen used for this way of composing/recording a few months ago: interactive live looping.
