No, not talking sample rates.

Boss/Roland save their pennies by using the
cheapest available chips on the audio path.
Once you get to recognise that sound it's really
obvious (especially running through high end studio gear).
Standard cd sample rate is capable of sounding a whole lot
better than the rc-50.

If it works for you in your set up, then that's cool,
and if you make great sounding recordings using it then
that's cool too.


I've tried both the EDP and Rc-50, and while the EDP isn't
perfect it easily beats the RC-50 in sound quality in terms of
what comes out sounding like what goes in.(remember the dry signal
   passing through the RC-50 already has degradations,
    so comparing wet/dry is no good indicator).
Possibly the RC-50 is ok (or even better) in terms of noise floor.
