Hi all,
I've uploaded on bancamp a
preview of my composition for the nextcoming Looper's Delight Compilation Vol. IV (curated by David Kirkdorffer - UNDO), , with the intention to
donate all the incoming money to support Rick's Y2K-X Loopfest (www.y2kloopfest.com) .
It's called "Polymetric Counterpoint #1" and it's a minimalistic loop based composition realized superimposing musical patterns with different metrics (3-4-5-6) sharing the same pulse.
All cellos, strings and piano patterns were played and looped live and later mixed with a computer software.
Hope you'll like it and, anyway, please contribute as you can to support the Y2K-X Loopfest and don't forget to spread this link to your friends, lists, FB, myspace, ecc...

Hi everyone,
So far, donations for this year's Y2K-X festival are running a little under
25% from previous years.
The festival this year is going to be close to twice as large.
This has been a tough recessionary year and I know things are really tight.
So, it is not lightly that I ask if you could consider donating some funds
to help the festival come off.
The price of admission doesn't come close to covering all of my costs
and so many people are coming this year that we're going to have a hard
time raising very much money at the door.
If you have anything to give, it will cover the costs of sleeping bags, transportation
and many incidental costs.
My paypal account is looppool(at sign)cruzio(dot sign)com
Thanks a lot,
yours, Rick Walker
