Now I found the description for getting up to 46
seconds. For those who didn´t know about it - like me:
"Pan alternates the delayed signal between the right and
left outputs with each repetition of delay. This is commonly called a "ping
pong" delay. If you set the delay time at 1000ms, the first delay will appear
hard right at 1000ms, the second hard left at 2000ms, the third hard right at
3000ms, the fourth hard left at 4000ms, etc. You can get up to 46 seconds of
delay from the DD-20 by using this mode and muting one of the two audio outputs.
A jack must be inserted to both outputs or the stereo effect (and the potential
46-second delay) won't be heard. The direct sound retains its stereo image, but
the effected sound reduces the stereo input to mono, sending it hard to the
left, then hard to the right."
I´m excited how it works...

Jeff is right. It´s really good this way.
Didn´t know the 46 sec trick that he
mentioned.
Have to check that... But can´t find it in the
archive.
Does anyone no more about it?

Yes that's right. I actually use my toe to operate the feedback
knob :) Light socks or barefoot looper here. It's "trails" feature is
always on so when you press the effect off it keeps playing for as long as you
have set the feedback knob. This is true even if you switch to the next
preset. j

So, just treat the DD-20 as a really long delay line? Can
one tap-play-tap-overdub? I take it that when off, the delay will keep
playing so you can just set feedback to 100% and turn it off to get a hold
effect? Do you have to reach down and grab the feedback knob to adjust
feedback?

The delay modes though are very good, I find. Work a lot with it on ambient
soundscapes. Much better doing these with the > DD 20 than the RC
