messing about in the studio and i just found out that the lid of my pedal board fits exactly over my keyboard stand when it's at sitting height and makes a rather nice table, for my rack, laptop and a couple of pedals!

There's two solutions I can think of:
a) there's stands for guitar combo amplifiers which work fine in this
regard. They usually have a tiltable, L-shaped thing to put the amp
on, and if you set it with the long "L" arm about parallel to the
ground, some 19'' stuff can easily sit on it.
b) use a wooden (or composite material) board to span the length of
the arms of the keyboard stand and put your stuff on that. That's what
I've been doing all the time. This might be the better option,
actually, because you would only need one stand for both sitting down
and standing up.
