No, I did not.  2-20 cm is not very much.  It's probably too small for 
sonar
techniques (affordable techniques) to work reliably.

I know we've mentioned the I-Cube system before (
http://www.infusionsystems.com/ ).  Have you ever tried one?  I've wanted 
to
for some time but never have.  After the initial cost, addition sensors
seems quite reasonable.
