pro/amateur

Title: pro/amateur

"Amateur" traditionally meant "one who does something for the love of
it" as opposed to the secular meaning of "professional" as "one who
does something for gain."

** right. since i have a dayjob, i must be an amateur . . . i'm thinking of having a t-shirt made that so identifies me.

besides which, how many "professionals" are really doing something that they feel in their creative hearts to make the $$$? damn few in my estimation.
