Also, I am interested to get a look at this Native Instruments KONTAKT
software sampler when it's available.

especially the "integrated loop editor" that is decribed as
"Samples can be trimmed and looped within the main sampler window. The
built-in graphical loop-editor features seamless looping with a
sophisticated autocorrelation algorithm and supports up to eight loops per
sample."
