Hey Cliff,

I did the same thing... installed the rotary encoder myself and still 
didn't
work. So I sent it off to Lexicon for their flat-rate repair of (I believe)
$95. Worked great from then on. The invoice showed that they cut a trace 
and
jumpered something as well as replacing both encoders. -Miko
