Someone from San Diego to LoopStock?

By some incredible accident, a Swiss friend of mine stays just this 
very weekend in San Diego. More than that: He suggested last year to 
create such a meeting in Switzerland!

Does anyone come up from San Diego and could give him a ride?
How far is it?
Any other options for him to get there?
