The use (and misuse of) directional cables has a big effect on my sound.
I
have my guitar wired with two outputs that I'm able to crossfade
between. I have one cable going in the correct direction and another
cable
going in the opposite direction than it was manufactured for. The
crossfader is pedal operated. I get some great contrasting sounds by
crossfading between the two - sometimes people think I'm using a modified
wah/filter/distortion/effect, but nope - just a simple crossfade between
abused directional cables.
